Diego Simeone's difficult return to Milan

The round of 16 pairings in the Champions League continue on Tuesday evening. Inter face Atletico Madrid at home, while Borussia Dortmund play away in the Netherlands.

Inter can be classified as slight favorites against Atletico, especially since the Milanese have won all of their eight competitive games so far this year and lead the Serie A table twelve points ahead of Juventus.

Nevertheless, coach Simone Inzaghi warned before the game: “These will be two extremely close and tough games.” Atletico coach Diego Simeone, who worked for the Nerazzurri from 1997 to 1999, also showed great respect. “It will be very difficult. Inter are in excellent form at the moment.” His team has only managed one win from their last four games.

Borussia Dortmund goes into Tuesday's Champions League round of 16 first leg at PSV Eindhoven in awe. “We have huge respect for the opponent. PSV is doing it exceptionally well this season,” said BVB coach Edin Terzic on Monday shortly before the final training session in the Philips Stadium. “They are very dangerous and concede few goals. To have all of this, you not only need good ideas, but also good players.”
