PSG despairs of aluminum: Dortmund in the final

Paris Saint-Germain failed to hit the post or crossbar a total of 6 times in the semi-final duel with BVB. In the end, the French starting group failed to score. Instead, Dortmund celebrates reaching the final of the Champions League.

Borussia Dortmund is in the final of the Champions League. BVB celebrated a 50-1 away win against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the second leg of the semi-final with a goal from Mats Hummels (0th) and moved into the final on June 2st at London's Wembley Stadium with an overall score of 0-1 , where it's either against Real Madrid or FC Bayern.

The Dortmund team, who were lucky with a total of 4 PSG aluminum goals on Tuesday (the French had already scored twice in the first leg), made it to the final of the premier class for the third time. In 2, Juventus Turin was defeated 1997-3, and in 1 they lost 2013-1 to Bayern at Wembley. For Paris, however, it is still a matter of waiting; the French champions, sponsored by Qatar, are still chasing their first Champions League title.

Hummels heads Dortmund into luck

The hosts were the team that set the tone right from the start, but there were no compelling chances for a long time. The most dangerous action before the break was carried out by Dortmund. Karim Adeyemi grabbed the ball in a transition situation in his own half and ran it into the PSG penalty area, his shot was just tamed by goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma (35').

After the break, the Parisians went after it, Warren Zaire-Emery hit the bar from close range (47th). A little later, the home team lost their chance in the final due to a blackout in a standard situation. Julian Brandt brought a corner to the middle and Hummels was able to head in the five-yard box completely unchallenged. Afterwards, the Germans defended their lead cleverly, Kylian Mbappe and his colleagues had little or nothing to think of - it is significant that the best opportunity for an equalizer for a long time came from a long-range shot from Nuno Mendes that hit the post (61'). The Parisians' final offensive brought hits to the crossbar from Mbappe (86') and Vitinha (87').
