Africa Cup of Nations: Senegal and Morocco in the semi-finals

The first two semi-finalists in the Africa Cup of Nations have been determined. Senegal and Morocco advanced to the final four on Friday evening.

Everton striker Iliman Ndiaye was the man of the match in Tangier, where Mali and Senegal battled it out in front of around 32.300 spectators. The Senegalese striker was on hand after 27 minutes to score the only goal of the evening. Mali had to play the second half with ten men after Tottenham's Yves Bissouma received a second yellow card (44th minute).

Morocco became the second team to reach the semi-finals in Rabat, playing in front of their home crowd. Brahim Diaz of Real Madrid gave the Moroccans the lead in the first half (29'). Cameroon struggled to create chances and conceded a second goal after the break when PSV midfielder Ismael Saibari struck (74').
