Kurtic can hope to take part in the European Championship

When former Serie A professional Jasmin Kurtic signed with FC Südtirol in January, he did so so that he could travel to the European Championships with his home country of Slovenia. He has now officially been called up to the extended squad.

Jasmin Kurtic may have made it: The FCS star was called up to the Slovenia squad for the 35 European Championships in Germany at the tender age of 2024. However, this still needs to be reduced before the tournament starts. The European Championship begins on June 14th with the opening game in Munich between Germany and Scotland. Slovenia, on the other hand, will play its opening game against Denmark on June 16th.

Other big names in Slovenia's squad are undoubtedly goalkeeper Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid and snapper Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. An interesting and legendary personality is ex-Atalanta star Josip Ilicic. The now 36-year-old offensive artist, who played for the Bergamo team for five years, is now earning his living at NK Maribor in the top Slovenian football league. All stars should contribute to the Slovenians moving into the knockout phase.
