Another national coach? Conte is positioning himself.
Could Antonio Conte make a comeback as Italy's national coach? The current Napoli manager doesn't seem averse to the idea, as he stated in a TV interview on Easter Monday.

“If I were the president of the Italian Football Federation, I would consider it,” Conte replied with a sly smile to the reporter’s question about whether he was a candidate to become Italy’s next national team coach. The current Napoli title-winning coach had already served as the national team’s technical commissioner from 2014 to 2016.
“Back then there was a lot of talk, but the clubs didn’t always support me,” Conte says in retrospect, adding: “I enjoyed being national coach. It’s an honor to represent your country. I know the atmosphere; it’s something that still interests me.”
No denial from Napoli boss
Napoli won the top-of-the-table clash against Milan 1-0 on Easter Monday, moving them into second place in the Serie A standings. "Currently, our sole focus is on finishing the season with Napoli," said Conte. While defending the title will be difficult, it is still mathematically possible. Conte still has a year left on his contract with Napoli. Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis told the Journal of Sport But he didn't deny any possibility of Conte returning to the Italian bench. "Of course, that's an option," said the extroverted filmmaker. Conte himself indicated that he would be speaking with De Laurentiis after the season ends. "Italy has missed out on three World Cups in a row. It needs a serious project now. But you mustn't forget that in football, only the result counts," Conte told the press. DAZN.
