Raphael Kofler wins with Italy's U20

Raphael Kofler's career continues to rise: The young Rablander made another appearance for the Italian U20 national team on Thursday.

Kofler came on as a substitute at halftime in the Azzurrini's 3-0 away win against Turkey. At that point, the score was 1-0. Kofler played as a center-back in the second half. The Lower Vinschgau native is currently second with Italy in the U20 elite league.

Kofler is having the best season of his career so far. He has made 23 appearances for FC Südtirol in Serie B this year – mostly as the right winger in a three-man defense. The 19-year-old has also scored one goal. Kofler has made four appearances for Italy's U20 team so far, scoring one goal.
