3 teams solve the EM ticket, Switzerland avoids embarrassment

Thanks to a double strike shortly before the end, the Swiss managed to draw 3:3 (1:0) against Belarus on Sunday evening. Xherdan Shaqiri (28th minute) had initially put Switzerland in the lead in St. Gallen. But then Maks Ebong (61st), Denis Polyakov (69th) and Dmitri Antilevski (84th) turned the game around for the underdog. Manuel Akanji (89th) and Zeki Amdouni (90th) then saved the draw for the Swiss. Despite the setback, the Swiss still have their ticket to the European Championship in their own hands. Granit Xhaka played his 118th international match against Belarus, equalling the record of the previous Swiss record player Heinz Hermann.

The Spanish won 1-0 (0-0) in Norway on Sunday evening, thereby securing their place in the European Championship. The Scots benefited from the Spanish success because they can no longer be pushed out of one of the top two places in Group A. In the second game after Stefan Kuntz's suspension, Turkey secured their place in the European Championship with a 4-0 (0-0) win against Latvia. World Cup third-placed Croatia, on the other hand, have to fear for their place in the European Championship after their 1-2 (0-0) defeat in Wales.

Gavi (49th minute) scored the decisive goal for the Spaniards in Oslo, who barely allowed Norway's superstar Erling Haaland to develop. Overall, the hosts had hardly any offensive actions.
