The Lang family celebrates in Rapallo

Robin Lang from Algund was able to successfully defend his Italian championship titles in the U15 individual classification and in the U19 team classification from last year with a very good performance. The 14-year-old Algunder, who like his father plays for GSP Vergiate, has clearly dominated his age group. After 6 rounds, like last year, he prevailed with 178 strokes ahead of his club colleague Mirko Pierozzi (189) and Emiliano Aloi (Novi Ligure/205). Lang is now looking forward to his appearance at the European Youth Championships in Vergiate (Varese province) in August. Alexander Lang, on the other hand, finished fourth in the senior ranking with 169 strokes behind Maurizio Palmiro Zini (Cusano Milanino/165), Gioachino Richiuto (Amatese/168) and Andrea Bergaglio (Cusano Milanino/168) by just one stroke. In the senior team ranking, he took silver with GSP Vergiate I after taking bronze last year. “I am very satisfied with my performance in Rapallo. It's a shame that I missed the podium by just one stroke. “I’m looking forward to my participation at the European Senior Championships in Portugal in August,” said Alexander Lang. Other South Tyroleans are struggling The other three South Tyroleans couldn't quite keep up. Dieter Kaufmann (Terenten) took 3th place among the seniors, Julian Müller (Naturns) came 25th in the U19 category and Stefan Zischg (Naturns) came 5th among the men.
