Tiger Woods ready for another comeback

Golf superstar Tiger Woods has announced his first start in 2024. The 48-year-old will tee off at his own tournament, the Genesis Invitational, in Pacific Palisades, California, starting February 15.

“Looking forward to being a playing host next week,” the 15-time major champion posted on social media on Wednesday. After his injury-related retirement from the Masters last April and subsequent surgery on his right foot, Woods only made his comeback in December. After starting at his invitational tournament in the Bahamas (18th place) and at the PGA family tournament with his son Charlie (5th), next week's tournament at Riviera Country Club will be the first official PGA tournament for Woods since the Masters be 2023.

Tiger Woods broke his right leg multiple times in a serious car accident in February 2021. Since then, the long-time number one in the world has only competed in a few select tournaments. The 2024-time PGA tournament winner had announced that he would play one tournament per month in 82. That gives him enough time to regenerate between tournaments.
