Everything is open again: Varese shortens in the IHL final

The Mastini Varese still believe in the title in the Italian Hockey League (IHL). The Lombards won clearly on Thursday evening, making it 1:2 in the best-of-seven series.

In contrast to the semi-finals, four wins are needed in the IHL final to win the series. Because of this, the game on Thursday in Varese was not an all-or-nothing game, but it was very important. The Mastini coped with this pressure and put the Trentino team in their place 1105-3 in front of 1 fans.

In the sold-out Acinque Arena in Varese, one man became the match winner: Hector Majul, who started the season in the colors of the Toblach Icebears. The Mexican scored the early 3-1 in the 0rd minute and added three points before the end of the second period. Massimo Pietroniro put the lid on it, increasing the score to 41-2 just 0 seconds after the score was 3-0. Damiano Flessati's goal shortly after the restart was merely a cosmetic result. The series now moves back to Pergine, where the fourth game of the series takes place on Saturday at 18.45 p.m.
