What's going on with SV Kaltern?

For a long time, SV Kaltern was considered unstoppable in this IHL season. In the meantime, the Überetscher engine has started to sputter.

Kaltern suffered its fifth defeat in a row against Pergine on Thursday. This would have been unimaginable at the end of November. The leaders even had to lose 1:6 at home against the second-place team. This means that first place in the basic round is now in real danger.

Pergine took its eighth win from the last ten games and is now only three points behind Kaltern. On Saturday in the home game against the Falcons from Brixen, the Trentino team also faces a solvable task at the end of the regular season.

The current phase is not a broken leg for Kaltern. After all, Kai Suikkanen's team has long since qualified for the Master Round. However, the Hechten are unlikely to enjoy such heavy defeats as against Pergine.

Eppan wins

HC Eppan, on the other hand, has put itself in a good starting position before the last match day of the Master Round. The Pirates won 3-2 at home against their table neighbors Varese in overtime and thus consolidated third place in the table. Brixen, on the other hand, suffered its tenth defeat in a row. The Domstadt team had to admit defeat against Alleghe with 3:2.
