Pergine with one hand on the title

After a narrow win over Varese on Saturday, Pergine can win the Italian Hockey League (AlpsHL) championship title in the fifth game on Tuesday.

After Varese won the first game in the IHL final on Thursday and reduced the best-of-seven series to 1:2, Pergine struck back again on Saturday evening. The Trentino team won 4-3 against the Mastini in an exciting and extremely close game and are now only one win away from the IHL title. Pergine can get this on Tuesday in Varese.

In a balanced game 4, Christian Buono became the match winner for Pergine this time. The 23-year-old Canadian contributed a goal and two assists in his team's win, leading Pergine to match point. Jozef Foltin, William Lemay and Dino Andreotti also scored for Trentino. For Varese, Hector Majul, Alessio Piroso and Marcello Borghi, whose 3-4 came too late just a few seconds before the end, were successful.
