On Sunday afternoon, HCP defeated the Czech club Litvinov 3-1. In front of around 300 spectators, Luciano Zandegiacomo, Henry Bowlby and Gunnarwolfe Fontaine scored the goals for the South Tyrolean team.
Unlike the Ingolstadt game, regular starting goalie Eddy Pasquale was in net against the Czechs. However, the former NHL goalie wasn't overly tested at the start of the match, as HCP had the better scoring opportunities. Ultimately, it was Zandegiacomo who scored the opening goal from the slot after a pass from Matthias Mantinger (20th minute).
Wild minutes in the second period
Litvinov came out of the locker room more aggressively after the restart. The Czechs' first line, in particular, repeatedly demonstrated their skill, but Pasquale initially kept the HCP net clean. Finally, Bolwby scored Pusterer's second goal with a deflected puck (29th minute). Litvinov remained unfazed and responded with a shot from a sharp angle to make it 2-1 (31st minute). But HCP responded immediately: Fontaine pounced on a rebound (32nd minute). Several special teams ensued, but neither team could capitalize decisively – the Wolves held on for a 3-1 victory.Vinschgau Cup 2026
