Connor Sanvido stays in Sterzing.

Sterzing announces extension

The Wipptal Broncos have announced the contract extension with Connor Sanvido.

The Canadian with an Italian passport initially grew up on the other side of the Atlantic. Here the attacker played in the WHL from 2009 to 2014. During this time he collected 93 points in 252 games. In the 2014/15 season he then moved to the college championship. He also stayed there for five seasons, namely until 2019, and collected 107 appearances (45 points). Until the 2020/21 season, the right-handed shooter played in the ECHL and the SPHL. In the 2021/22 season he then made the jump across the pond and signed with EC Pfaffenhofen (4th division) in Germany. After 15 appearances and 21 points, he moved to Pergine in the IHL during the season. The winger also played here last season and collected an impressive 45 points in 79 games.

Sterzing's number 88 impressed right from the start last season and was particularly outstanding in the first phase of the season. The 30-year-old then suffered a serious injury and was out until the playoffs. Although the attacker was not able to fully match his previous performance, he still played a key role in the playoffs.
