The Unterland Cavaliers faced a tough opponent on Sunday. The Unterland team met the ICE club Asiago in their home Würtharena. The team from Veneto didn't give the home team a chance in the Riwega Cup and won clearly with 5:1.
While HC Asiago took it easy in the first period and only scored one goal (Lorenzo Casetti), the Giallorossi pulled ahead to 4:0 in the middle period. The goals were scored by Alex Ierullo (two goals) and Giovanni Vallati. In the final period, Nicholas Moutrey increased the lead to 5:0, before Gabriel Galassiti scored the consolation goal to make it 1:5 shortly afterwards.
Broncos with landslide victory
The Wipptal Broncos, on the other hand, had a better evening. The Sterzing team celebrated a crystal clear 8:2 victory against the German fourth division club TEV Miesbach. After the guests from Bavaria scored the first goal of the evening, the Wipptal team made short work of it and celebrated a victory that was never in doubt. The Wipptal Broncos were able to celebrate a total of eight times. ©Oskar Brunner
