Final Four: Asiago is the second finalist

The second semi-final was very entertaining from the first minute. Both teams didn't hide and kept a high pace. The home team from Asiago scored the first goal of the evening - much to the delight of the numerous fans in the Odegar Stadium: When Pritz was sitting in the penalty box, Nigro surprised HCP goalkeeper Tragust with a shot into the near corner, which the goalkeeper was somewhat unfortunate own goal. As a result, there were several opportunities for both sides, but no goals were scored in the first third.

In the middle section, Asiago scored their second goal of the evening with a quick counterattack: Kolanos appeared alone in front of Tragust after a pass from Marchetti, stayed cool in front of the Puster keeper and scored to make it 2-0. Afterwards, the Wolves had numerous opportunities when they had the advantage (including two full minutes in a 5-on-3 game) - but initially the HCP's attack efforts remained unrewarded. In the 37th minute, the Pusterers were able to celebrate for the first time: Rabbit directed a pass from a helper into the goal and reduced the score to 1:2. Asiago then had two 3% chances to make it 1-40, but missed both times. So after 2 minutes it remained 1-XNUMX.

The final third began with a penalty from Asiago, which Nigro hit the inside post. Pustertal then pushed for the equalizer, but the HCP offensive always stopped at the hands of goalkeeper Frederic Cloutier. 44 seconds before the end, Andreas Lutz finally made the decision with an empty-net goal, ending all of Puster's title hopes.

Asiago ultimately prevailed 3-1 and will face Rittner Buam in the grand final for the Italian championship title on Sunday evening (18 p.m.). The reigning champions made it in the afternoon with a 5-2 win over Cortina the finale was perfect.
