With an overtime victory against Ljubljana, HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has joined the Graz 99ers in the ICE Hockey League final. This will set up a clash of two final debutants. The fact that they are so close to the title for the first time has clearly spurred the Graz management into action.

In any case, club boss Herbert Jerich revealed to the Krone newspaperthat plans for a possible championship celebration are already underway. "I don't believe in jinxing things. We're on the verge of a major success and we're dealing with it. If we become champions, we want to celebrate. In the main square, on the town hall balcony. And with a parade through Herrengasse with the team bus, the 99ers' Lamborghini, and the Jerich truck," said the logistics entrepreneur, who has financially strengthened the 99ers over the past two years.

Now all that's left is to win the final – and HC Pustertal, as we all know, might have something to say about that. The Wolves will starting next Wednesday to try and thwart Graz's championship plans.
