“We know it will be tough”

HC Pustertal has botched the start of the season. Things won't get any easier for the Wolves, as they're heading to Salzburg on Wednesday.

Salzburg recently won the championship three times in a row. This year, the Bulls started the season with 7 points from three games. The team has more or less stayed together and is one of the top favorites for the ICE title this year, alongside Graz, Bozen and perhaps Klagenfurt. "We know it will be tough. We just have to take our chances. So far this year, we have missed that a lot," said Pustertal's Luca Zanatta.

Tommaso Traversa echoed the same sentiment: "We obviously didn't expect the start of the season to be like this. But in some games we saw that we can play well. We could have done better, especially against Fehervar and Ljubljana. It will be very tough in Salzburg. But if we work well defensively and use our opportunities, we can achieve something."

“Of course, we didn’t imagine the start of the season would be like this.” Tommaso Traversa

With three points from four games, HC Pustertal actually has a lot of room for improvement. After the away trip to Salzburg, there are two home games scheduled on Friday and Sunday. Then they play against Linz and Klagenfurt.
