From Bern to Bozen: This player is good for the Foxes

Josh Teves is the seventh and final defender signed by HC Bozen. He is in his prime for ice hockey, has already played in the NHL and is moving to South Tyrol after a season in the top leagues in Finland and Switzerland. Teves is a fast defender who shines with his stick handling and is equipped with a good first pass. Thanks to his offensive style of play, he should also get more ice time in the power play. The HCB was still missing a player like that in combination with the much more defensively oriented Scott Valentine, Blake Parlett and Dylan Di Perna. Undrafted into the NHL The 28-year-old from Calgary made the direct jump from the NCAA university league to the NHL as an undrafted player in March 2019. Just a few days after signing his contract with the Vancouver Canucks, he made his debut in the best league in the world. However, it should only be a single NHL appearance. He spent the following three years in the American Hockey League with the Utica Comets and the Rochester Americans, recording 131 points in a total of 29 games. In the summer of 2022, Teves moved across the pond for the first time. He initially played 48 times (10 points) in the Finnish top league for JYP Jyväskylä, before strengthening the traditional Swiss club SC Bern at the end of the season, where he recorded another 13 appearances and 2 points. While the Foxes are sweating in the training camp in Corvara, the club management wants to sign a new goalkeeper and a first-line center before their first Champions League appearance on August 31st in Mannheim.
