Parlett boxes, Halmo scores – and Bozen celebrates again

International break? Doesn't matter! Even after the break, HC Bozen continues where it has been at full speed for weeks: on the winning road. The match in Vienna had a lot to offer.

A boxer named Blake Parlett, a train named Scott Valentine and a match winner named Mike Halmo: These three cracks shaped the Foxes' encounter on Wednesday evening in Vienna. In the end there was a 4.000-4 win in the Austrian capital in front of 2 spectators, which has a special treat in store: The Foxes jump to 5th place in the table - they have never been so high this season! At the same time, the situation at HC Pustertal is becoming critical after the 4:6 defeat against Innsbruck.

It was a wild match filled with a lot of niggles that the fans in Vienna got to see. The highlight was the boxing match between Blake Parlett and Christof Kromp shortly before the end. As far as play is concerned, the HCB, from which Tyler Sikura is still missing for personal reasons, has now regained a certain self-image. When Vienna took a 2-1 lead in the middle third, the Foxes still had the feeling that they could still step up their game here. And that's what happened in a strong final third with a total of three goals.

Goals, boxing matches, tough checks

Vandane's tripYou don't see that every day: Bolzano defender Davis Vandane fights for the puck in the neutral zone, starts to sprint, cleverly places his 91 kilogram body between the puck and the opponent and scores with a dry shot to make it 1-0 (11 .).
Vienna is spinningFrom 0:1 to 2:1 – within just a few minutes. First, Trevor Cheek sneaks out of the cover behind Blake Parlett's back and scores the equalizer (29th), then Leon Wallner deflects a shot in front of Svedberg (37th).
Compensation & PainIn the final third, Domenico Alberga scores after a rebound (42nd), then Scott Valentine makes one of his dreaded checks. This time he hits Leon Wallner with full force - everything was normal, even if the Viennese was writhing in pain on the substitutes' bench.
Magic MikeBolzano's exceptional talent decides the match. After a fine pass from Dustin Gazley, Mike Halmo pokes the disc over the line in the second attempt (52').
Parlett's fightBlake Parlett came to Bolzano in the summer as a man for rough things. Now it becomes clear why: He has a boxing match with Christof Kromp, in which the man from Bolzano throws out some hard punches, but in the end he is also wrestled to the ground. In the final seconds, Connor Ford hits the empty goal (59th).

There are now two home games for HC Bozen: Olimpija Ljubljana will be visiting the Sparkasse Arena on Friday, and Villach will be coming to the state capital on St. Stephen's Day. The Adler are three points behind Bozen in 6th place in the table, but have also played one fewer match.
