Showdown in Salzburg: Who will make it to the final?

The decision will be made on Tuesday evening. In the Salzburg Volksgarten there will be playoff semi-final game 7 in the duel between Red Bull Salzburg and HCB Südtirol Alperia. A team has to win.

EC Red Bull Salzburg earned the showdown in front of their home crowd. After the success on Holy Saturday in Bolzano, the defending champions of the ICE Hockey League want to add their decisive fourth win in the semi-final series against HCB on Tuesday evening (19.30:XNUMX p.m.). However, the people of Bolzano know what it feels like to win in the Salzburg Volksgarten. They have already won two of three appearances in the “best of seven”.

Foxes captain Daniel Frank & Co. are correspondingly motivated before the all-or-nothing game in the city of Mozart. “We have already made history twice in Salzburg. We're going there to win Game 2. We have the quality to do it,” says Frank. His counterpart Thomas Raffl, captain of Salzburg, is of course in the same vein: “We want to have these big moments, and there is nothing bigger than a Game 7.”

While Bolzano is “only” interested in making it to the final, another chance for the title is at stake for Salzburg. Because: If Bozen wins, the KAC would be Austrian champions for the 33rd time. After their “sweep” (4-0) in the semi-final against HC Pustertal, the Klagenfurters have been free of play for a week and can enjoy Tuesday as an interested observer.
