The long-running event continues to ignite in Bolzano
No one at HC Bozen throws himself into every shot with such passion, no one has performed as consistently as him over the last eight years, and no one scores more important goals. And it will probably stay that way. We're talking about Luca Frigo.

The 31-year-old striker from Moncalieri, who has long since settled in South Tyrol, will also play for the Foxes in the ICE Hockey League next season. Frigo has extended his contract with Bozen by a further twelve months until the summer of 2025.
Frigo came to the capital at the tender age of 23, but by then he had already gained experience in Italy's second division (Real Torino), in Serie A (Valpellice), in American junior ice hockey (Omaha Lancers) and in the Swedish third division (Kallinge-Ronneby IF). He has been a key player in Italy's national team for ten years now, most recently leading the team as assistant captain at the home World Cup.
Luca Frigo scored his last goals for Italy at the World Cup in Bolzano.
Frigo has played 462 games for HC Bozen so far, scoring 77 goals and assisting 103 more. More appearances will follow in the 2024/25 season, when the winger will once again play in front of the Bozen fans. They have long had a good reputation for him due to his tireless commitment and reliability.
"For next year, I am happy that the core of the squad will remain the same, because we have built up a lot over the years and want to achieve the results we deserve," Frigo was quoted as saying by the club after signing his contract.
