Three-pack, derby watschn & Co.: Now the HCB captain speaks

“I slept a little better than after the defeat against Brunico,” says Daniel Frank with a smile. The topic is of course his hat-trick against Fehervar, with which he almost single-handedly got HC Bozen back on track. “Of course you’re happy, but the important thing was that we scored three points again,” said “Franky”.
This was Daniel Frank's first hat-trick as an adult. “I don’t know when I last managed to do that. “I once scored three goals in one match at the U18 World Cup,” remembers the 29-year-old. In any case, it was a picture-perfect reaction that Frank and his teammates showed after the 1-4 defeat against Pustertal. “That really hurt. What was even worse was that we missed three important points. If we had these three points, the world would look a little different in the race for the playoffs.”
“I feel sorry for Svedberg, he’s a really nice person.” Daniel frank
In fact, the fight for the top 6, which entitles you to direct play-offs, is extremely close. There are only a measly four points between 4th and 8th place, the HCB is right in the middle as fifth place.
The goalkeeper change at the Foxes also recently made big headlines: Niklas Svedberg was released and Sam Harvey came in for him. “Svedi is a really nice person and was very well respected in the dressing room, so I feel sorry for him. But that was also a signal to us: We can't allow so much anymore and we have to clean up in our own zone, otherwise every goalie will have a hard time. With Harvey and Johnny (Vallini, editor’s note) we now have two top goalkeepers.”
Pustertal with double shift
HC Bozen will not be back in action until Sunday, when the away game against Olimpija Ljubljana is scheduled. Meanwhile, HC Pustertal has a double shift ahead of them: The Wolves will face the Vienna Capitals away on Friday evening from 19.15 p.m., and on Saturday they will continue their road trip and will be guests at Fehervar from 17.30 p.m.ICE Hockey League, the games from the weekend
