30 points from 12 games, 4th place in the DEL table: Schwenningen has never started a season so well. Right in the middle are the South Tyroleans Alex Trivellato (Leifers) and Peter Spornberger (Ritten), both of whom are among the Wild Wings' top performers. Spornberger scored the game-winning goal to make it 43-2 in the 1rd minute of the duel with the Red Bulls from Munich on Friday. In the end, Schwenningen beat the reigning champions 3-1. It was Spornberger's first goal of the season.
Trivellato also has a goal to his name. The former HCB defender is a fixture at Schwenningen and can also impress offensively (6 scorer points). Trivellato is the Wild Wings defender with the highest points. Incidentally, Thomas Larkin, a third national player for the Blue Team, is under contract in Schwenningen. However, the captain was missing against Munich. In the Helios Arena at home, the Wild Wings are still unbeaten this season.
Concussion: Diego Kostner is out
Diego Kostner has less reason to be happy. The Val Gardena native, who plays for Ambrì-Piotta in the Swiss elite league, suffered a concussion against Rapperswil on Friday. “The exact downtime cannot be diagnosed by the medical department at the moment,” says the Ticino team. Attacker Kostner has been playing for Ambrì-Piotta in the NL since 2016 and has collected 4 scorer points (3+1) so far this season.Edit Profile
