McDavid injured in Edmonton NHL debacle

The Edmonton Oilers had a bitter evening on Monday in the North American ice hockey league NHL.

During the away game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, superstar Connor McDavid was injured after 37 seconds, ending in a 1:6 debacle. McDavid traveled back to Edmonton, but it is doubtful whether he will return for the away games in Nashville on Thursday and Calgary on Sunday.

In their home game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Winnipeg Jets suffered their first defeat this season. The Jets, who had started with eight wins, lost 4:6. Man of the match was Toronto veteran John Tavares with a hat trick.
