NHL semifinals: Florida submits

The Florida Panthers won the first semifinal game (best-of-1 series) of the NHL play-offs 7-3 against the New York Rangers. In the second semi-final, Edmonton and Dallas face each other.

The Russian Florida goalie Sergei Bobrovsky was the match winner of the game with 23 saves. He recorded only his second shutout in his 82nd playoff game.

“In the play-offs, only the wins count, regardless of the amount and the number of goals conceded. “It was an important win, but I expect a long series,” Bobrovsky remained down-to-earth.

Matthew Tkachuk and Carter Verhaeghe also performed outstandingly for the Panthers, each contributing a goal and an assist to the away win at Madison Square Garden.

The Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers face each other in the second semifinal. The first game is scheduled for tomorrow night. Any exit is possible.
