Damian Clara's training with future NHL stars

On June 3, it was announced that Clara had signed a three-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks. They had selected the Pusterer at number 60 in the NHL draft last year. However, the goalie will still play in Sweden next season, as he revealed in an interview with s+. However, Clara did not miss the annual development camp, where the organization's best talents come together and demonstrate their skills for five days.
The training camp took place in Irvine (California). Alongside Clara, Beckett Sennecke (picked third this year) and Cutter Gauthier, a top-5 pick from last year, were there. A total of 29 players took part in the camp. This consisted not only of training on the ice, but also of numerous physical tests. An old acquaintance was also part of the coaching team: Matt McIlvane, who was head coach at Red Bull Salzburg for four years and won two championships there.
The camp was free and open to the public, so many onlookers didn't miss the chance to see the future NHL stars up close. The Ducks posted the most spectacular scenes from the camp on social media - including a so-called Scorpion Save by Clara.
He has now returned to South Tyrol to get fit for the upcoming season at Färjestad BK with René Baur. Preparations for the Swedish first division club begin on August 1st.
