“I love you forever”: Leon Draisaitl’s romantic engagement

The 28-year-old Edmonton Oilers professional shared a photo on Instagram in which he asked for the hand of his partner Celeste Desjardins on the Spanish holiday island of Mallorca. She is an actress from Canada.

Draisaitl wrote "Forever" and a red heart on the post. His partner replied: "That was the easiest yes. I love you forever."

In the North American professional league NHL, Draisaitl and his Oilers narrowly missed out on the title this summer. After the bitter 3:4 defeat in the Stanley Cup final against the Florida Panthers, Draisaitl recently left it open whether he would extend his contract with the Oilers. "I will sit down with my agent, talk to the Oilers and see what their plan is, what our plan is, and then just carry on," Draisaitl emphasized immediately after the end of the season.
