Italy lost 3-4 to Poland. This saved the Poles from relegation to the second division. Croatia must take this step. Italy, on the other hand, had already secured third place before the game. On Sunday evening (from 19.30:5 p.m.) Slovenia won against Ukraine 3-XNUMX and was promoted.
For Italy, the defeat against Poland is another disappointment, even though there was next to nothing at stake. Giorgio De Bettin's team is more crowded than it has been for years. But the U20 did not live up to the high expectations. On Sunday, Poland initially took a 2-0 lead before Madaschi brought things back two seconds before the end of the first third siren.
In the middle third, Lobis scored a remarkable equalizer. The Kalterer, who plays for Ritten in the AlpsHL, is Italy's best scorer at this tournament (4 goals and 7 assists). Remolato then redirected a Larcher shot into the net to make it 3-2. Italy had now completely turned the game around. In the final third, Poland turned things around again and scored two more goals.
