At the Bolzano World Cup: Romania continues to surprise

After the two 1-6 defeats against Italy and Slovenia, many assumed that Romania would be the weakest team at the B World Cup in Bolzano. But now the Romanians have struck again.

It was only on Wednesday that Romania surprisingly defeated Hungary 2-1. Two days later, winning goal scorer Balazs Peter & Co. caused a sensation again with a 3-2 win against South Korea. In front of 300 spectators, Romania took a 2-0 lead on Friday afternoon in the Bozner Sparkasse Arena. The South Koreans equalized in the final third before Peter, who was outnumbered, ensured the Romanians won.

Romania has thus secured relegation and even preserved its chances of promotion. The Romanians will face Japan on Saturday (12.30 p.m.). South Korea, on the other hand, is fighting against relegation to the B group of the 16st division in the final game on Saturday (1 p.m.) against Italy.
