(2) HC Bozen – (1) Fiat Professional Wolves The HCB already caused a bang at the start with the victory in Bruneck and took away the home advantage from HC Pustertal. This was the Foxes' first win of the season in the Wolves' den. Now it will be interesting to see what reaction the HCP cracks will have on the ice on Saturday.

The key player in the first encounter was undoubtedly goalkeeper Matt Zaba, who drove the home team's strikers white hot. In the offensive movement, Jordan Knackstedt stood out from the strong collective performance of the Bolzano team. The white-red number 10 led her team to success with two goals. Coach Adolf Insam rotated his entire team with regular ice time, with the exception of Edwardson, who had recovered, and Fabris, who only played in the first third. Insam is unlikely to make any changes to the team composition in the second final game.

The Wolves' title hopes are closely tied to the name David Ling. The Canadian striker also acted as a hub in the Bruneck game on Thursday and dazzled his teammates on several occasions. Scandella and Oberrauch, however, remained largely pale. The most dangerous attacking trio was that of Bona, DiCasmirro and Erlacher, who repeatedly caused danger in front of the Bolzano goal. There, however, they mostly failed because of goalie Zaba, while his counterpart Mikko Strömberg often seemed unsure. The Pusterers expect a clear improvement in performance from him in order to turn the tables in game two in Bolzano. In the ice wave, coach Teppo Kivelä can rely on Joe Jensen again, who has served his ban. For him, a defender will probably have to watch as a surplus transfer card player.
