After 35 years, Julia Calliari improves the U18 national record in the 100m

This weekend the first regional phase of the U17 team championship will take place in 18 Italian cities. The South Tyrolean and Trentino athletes compete in Brixen. The big star of the first day of competition on Saturday afternoon was the 17-year-old sprinter from the Bozen Running Club, Julia Viktoria Calliari, who won the 100m in an excellent 12.02 seconds. Calliari thus set a new U18 national record and improved the old record set by Karmen Baumgartner from Bruneck from 1978 by four hundredths (12.06 seconds).
