Italian Championship: Silver for Lukas Rifesser over 800m

In a tactical race, Oberti surprised the competition and won his first Italian championship title in 1:51.41 minutes. In the final meters, Oberti was able to fend off the Brunecker Rifesser's attack and prevailed with a lead of four hundredths (1:51.41 against 1:51.45). Lukas Rifesser can be happy with his silver medal because he came back from a long injury break. Bronze went to junior Enrico Riccobon from Belluno in 1:51.65 minutes

5. Manfred Menz in the pole vault, 6, Peter Lanziner over 5000m Manfred Menz from Merano achieved a very strong 5th place in the pole vault. The 31-year-old, who is eligible to compete for Enterprise Benevento, jumped 5,10m on his first attempt, but then missed the three jumps over 5,20m. For Menz it is a new season best. He hadn't managed to jump 5,10m for four years. The title went to Claudio Michel Stecchi with a good 5,50m.

Peter Lanziner from Quercia Trentingrana, however, finished the 5000m in 6th place in 14:24.98 minutes. The 31-year-old from Truden missed the podium by twelve seconds; Stefano La Rosa became Italian champion for the fifth time in a row in 14:11.34 minutes.

In the javelin throw, the experienced Hubert Göller from the Bolzano club Athletic Club 96 had to settle for 11th place (58.41m). Norbert Bonvecchio from Trento won the gold medal with 75,36m. Matteo Didioni from Brixen ran fifth with the Quercia 4x100m relay, while the Athletic Club relay came 10th.

Women miss out on finals In the women's race, the young Bruneck woman Valentina Cavalleri did not get past fifth place in the second heat of the 400 m hurdles in 1:02.62 minutes and thus missed out on a place in the final. Irmgard Troyer's 17-year-old daughter ultimately took 15th place. Elisabeth Stofner from Vipiteno, who competes for Quercia Trentingrana, came 17th in the discus throw with 40.72m.

Italian Championship: Silver for Lukas Rifesser over 800m

First medal for the South Tyrolean athletes at the Italian General Class Championships, which will be held in the “Gianni Brera” arena in Milan. Lukas Rifesser from Puster won silver in the 800m, behind Michele Oberti from Atletica Bergamo.
