Pole vault elite compete in Lana

A pole vault meeting was organized at very short notice for this Friday in Lana. Only invited athletes are allowed to take part, and it starts at 18 p.m.

The focus is primarily on the two local pole vault aces Nathalie Kofler and Nicolò Fusaro. The 23-year-old local hero will try to improve her own national record of 4.21 m. Kofler crossed this mark three years ago in Lana, of all places, and today the SVL athlete wants to increase it again. The "Azzurre" Giada Pozzato (4.30 m) and Sofia Beda (3.15) as well as Innsbruck's Magdalena Rauter (4.20) are also registered.

Fusaro is also aiming for a new record. The 24-year-old from Bozen, who is from Athletic Club 96, has already cleared 5.26 m in his career and wants to top that again today in Lana. Fusaro has broken the 5-meter mark five times this season, his best result was 5.15 m on July 7 in Novellara. In addition to Fusaro, the 14-strong men's squad includes three other local athletes: teammate Manfred Menz (4.45 m), Lana talent Frederic Schöpf and Jakob Niederfriniger from LAC Vinschgau.
