The pole vault elite is coming back to Silandro

What is new is that this year the meeting will take place on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Usually it always took place on a Friday. The organizing committee of the LAC Vinschgau ASV Raiffeisen, in collaboration with Schlanders Marketing and ASC Schlanders Raiffeisen, has been working on this 19th edition for some time and once again promises breathtaking jumps that the international pole vaulting elite will conjure up in the Silandro night sky. The main field is led by the newly crowned German pole vault champion Bo Kanda Lita Baehre, who set a record of 5,90m a few days ago and is therefore ranked third on the current world best list. But Piotr Lisek from Poland, who already jumped 5,81m in pouring rain in Silandro, will also meet all the other competitors and keep the excitement high in Silandro. The Germans Torben Blech and Oleg Zernikel will also come to Schlanders, as will the Belgian record holder Ben Broeders. Max Mandusic from Italy and Nicolò Fusaro from Bolzano will also give their best in the main town of Vinschger and inspire the spectators. The main program with the world-class jumpers will take place from 20.00 p.m. and will again be broadcast on a large video screen and can be seen online in the live stream. In the preliminary program, from 18.00 p.m., the local young athletes Kofler Nathalie, Indra Nicole and Bucciarelli Mattia will show their skills with the batons. The 16.00rd South Tyrolean VSS Sprint Champion will take place in the afternoon from 3 p.m. on the Kulturhausplatz in Silandro, for the second time with a stop in Silandro. We are looking for the fastest boys and girls born in 2009 and younger, but all other children and running enthusiasts can also sprint on the 30m track with a flying start and electronic timing. Participation is free.
