The Puster 3/4 half marathon takes place on Saturday

The 3/4 half marathon occupies a special position within the Top7 running series. The name itself is curious because it has to do with the length of the route, even though the 17,6 km is just over three quarters of a half marathon. From the start, each participant is given a sack of Puster potatoes, which is why the run is also known as the “Erdäpfellauf”.

This year, in addition to many top runners, Peter Lanziner, Georg Brunner, Hannes Rungger and record winner Hermann Achmüller are expected again for the men, as well as the two-time winners Agnes Tschurtschenthaler and Kathrin Hanspeter, Petra Pircher, Edeltraud Thaler and other top runners for the women.

The run starts at Bruneck town hall. The route then takes the participants via Dietenheim and Aufhofen along the Ahr cycle path through Gais, Uttenheim to Kematen, past the Cascade and over Daimerstrasse to the destination at the festival site in Sand in Taufers. The height difference is only 35 meters.

The organizers from SSV Taufers are once again expecting a great response and a high level of participation, especially since the Erdäfpellauf has developed excellently, especially in the last few years, and has become one of the largest running events in South Tyrol.
