Sebastian Coe, President of the Athletics Association, is making big plans.

A greedy rhythm

After the World Athletics Championships in Budapest is before the Olympic Games in Paris. The intense competition calendar is increasingly at the expense of the athletes. And now Sebastian Coe, the president of the runners, jumpers and throwers, is not averse to holding a World Championships every year.

“I could also imagine holding a World Cup every year,” said Sebastian Coe, which surprises me. Until now, the Brit, who was a world-class athlete and then head of the organizing committee for the 2012 Olympic Games in London, was seen as a clever and cool tactician who had managed to consolidate his association after the problem-filled years and the questionable dealings of his predecessor Lamine Diack.
