Grand Prix Ladurner: Strong sprint performances in St. Christina

The best result today in St. Christina was achieved by Valeria Mura. The 15-year-old from the Bozen Running Club won the 80 m in an excellent 10.34 seconds. This is a new personal record, beating her old record by a full 15 hundredths. Only nine U16 runners were faster than Mura in Italy this year. Her teammate Johanna Brandt also put in a good performance, finishing second in 10.57 seconds. Alessandra Realdon (also from the Bozen Running Club) also set a new personal record in the long jump with a very good 5.10 m.

Among the boys, Alex Baù from Eisacktal won the 80 m run in 9.40 seconds, six hundredths ahead of his teammate Mario Buniolo. The most successful athlete was Nicolò Tomada from Società Atletica Bolzano, who won both the 300 m hurdles (42.17 seconds) and the javelin throw (35.72 m).

Some general class supporting competitions were also held in St. Christina today. In the women's category, Sandra Fischer (200m/26.44), Tanja Scrinzi (800m/2:51.13), Franziska Kofler (high/1.59), Nicole Indra (pole/2.30) and Marion Kastl (ball/8.55) won, while in the men's category The victories went to Alessandro Monte (80m/22.87), Georg Gasser (high/1.92), Hubert Indra (rod/3.90) and Andreas Zagler (ball/13.50).

Grand Prix Ladurner: Strong sprint performances in St. Christina

After a seven-week break, the second round of the Youth Grand Prix Ladurner took place on Saturday in St. Christina in Val Gardena. The first day of competition was reserved for the U16 age group (students A), on Sunday the U13 and U11 will be in action.
