The Demetz Day at the Gsieser Almenlauf

In the Gsiesertal there are not only wonderful cross-country ski trails, but also beautiful hiking trails and alpine pastures. These were hiked yesterday, and a public march was also organized for those who are less experienced.

The participants came from the Hochpustertal and many other parts of the country. The event was organized with passion by the Yusuf sports and leisure club. Preparations for 2025 will begin shortly.

The start of the Gsieser Almenlauf took place at the end of the valley in St. Magdalena. The runners had to overcome 11,7 kilometers and a good 1000 meters of elevation. More than 100 took part in the best weather conditions. Samuel Demetz (Team Salomon) won the men's race in 1:09.09 hours. He came in first ahead of Martin Grieser (Laufverein Freienfeld) and David Innerhofer (Skialprace Ahrntal).
