The Vinschgau is all about the Reschenseelauf

This year's Reschenseelauf promises to be spectacular: over 2700 runners are expected in Graun tomorrow, Saturday.

From the main competition to the "Just for Fun" event, the children's "Apple Run", the handbike competition and Nordic walking - the Reschenseelauf has something for everyone. Italy has the most participants, followed by Germany with over 600 runners. Participants from Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, France, Hungary, Ireland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Lithuania are also represented. Runners from the USA, Paraguay, Australia, Ecuador, Brazil, China and South Africa are also taking part.

The list of participants includes prominent names: In addition to the Olympian Hrochova (CZE) and the South Tyrolean Greta Haselrieder, the Lombard-born and Bolzano-based Sarah Giomi, the 2020 winner and last year's podium finisher, will also be at the start. In the women's race, Rosy Pattis, the multiple world champion in mountain running and the first South Tyrolean to run 100 marathons, is also expected. The "Gazelle of Siusi" won the first edition of the Reschenseelauf in 2000 and came third in 2001. The talented Swiss Maja Luder-Gautschi is also expected.
