Karate Mühlbach strikes

At the second stage of a three-part karate tournament held yesterday in San Martino di Lupari (PD), Karate Mühlbach won three gold, two silver and six bronze medals, surpassing the successes of the first stage.

In each of the three stages, participants collect points according to their placement – with the goal of reaching the podium in the overall standings after the third stage. These three stages are held approximately one month apart, making consistency the most important criterion of this interregional tournament.

The strength of Karate Mühlbach lies in sparring (kumite), as demonstrated by the results: Anna Gallmetzer and Norbert Öttl won gold; Jonas Malleier and Maria Peintner came in second; bronze went to Julia Mair, Laura Peintner, Florian Fischnaller, and Lorenz Mantinger. Jakob Silgoner had to settle for fifth place this time.

Many strong finishes

In the kata competition, Tobias Erschbaumer continued his success from the first stage and once again won gold. Greta Fischer and Julia Mair took bronze. While they didn't reach the podium, valuable points were earned by: Hannah Bruni (4th place), Maria Peintner (5th place), Anna Gallmetzer and Noel Stifter (both 6th place), Alan Stifter (7th place), Pia Putzer and Lorenz Mantinger (both 8th place). Linda Inkinen, Leni Rastner, Michaela Amort, Nina Seebacher, and Jonas Malleier did not qualify for the final of the top eight athletes this time.
