Taekwondo athletes from Unterland successful

The athletes of ASV Zadra-fighting/rothoblaas returned with great results from the International Plateau Open in Mieming (Tyrol), where 214 Taekwondokas from three nations and 17 clubs participated.

In the black belt class for women and men, the Kurtatsch martial artists secured two gold, two silver and three bronze medals, while in the colored belt classes the haul was two gold, two silver and three bronze.

In the men's black belt -68 kg category, Tobias won both of his fights, including the final, and secured a well-deserved gold medal. A strong performance. Anna Datz also achieved a victory in the U-18 youth +68 kg category.

Markus Zadra also competed in the men's general category (+18) in the heavyweight +80 kg division and won silver. The 60-year-old fought his way to the final, where he ultimately had to concede victory to a German athlete 40 years his junior. Thomas Mittermair also took silver in the black belt division, competing in the U-18 youth +78 kg category. Jennifer Schwertner achieved a commendable third place this year in the women's (+18) lightweight -57 kg division. Her teammate Gabriele Cera also won bronze in the men's -80 kg division.

In the colored belt classes, Luis Mittelberger and Leo Condin each won gold, while Andreatta Gabriele and Paul Mittelberger won silver. Bronze went to Greta Lang, Markus Lemayr, and Jasin Previzi.
