Karate Mühlbach on the road to success
Two gold and two silver in kumite (duel), three silver and three bronze in kata (form competition) - these were the overall results of a three-part karate tournament in which over 30 clubs with over 700 athletes from north-east Italy took part and that ended yesterday in Maser.

In each of the three stages, which were each carried out about a month apart, the athletes collected points; Whoever scored the most points after the third stage won the overall ranking. Getting on the podium in the overall ranking means having consistently performed at a high level over three months.
In the kumite (duel) Laura Peintner (candidates, up to blue belt) and Ramón Motta (protégés, up to blue belt) won gold, while Lorenz Mantinger (juniors, up to blue belt) and Florian Filehner (seniors, brown and black belts) won the silver medal .
In the kata (form competition), six Karate Mühlbach athletes made it onto the podium in the overall ranking: silver went to Emilia Bruni (candidate, yellow and orange belts), Lorenz Mantinger (juniors, green and blue belts) and Martin Pezzei (master, brown - and black belts), while the bronze medal was won by the following three athletes: Julia Mair (students, yellow and orange belts), Laura Grünfelder (protégés, green and blue belts) and Madleen Unterhuber (candidates, green and blue belts).

There was also an overall ranking of the clubs, where Karate Mühlbach came in 9th place in Kata and 10th in Kumite. All competitors contributed to this club ranking, regardless of whether they made it onto the podium in the overall ranking or not, because they all collected valuable points and fought not only for themselves but also for Karate Mühlbach through their performances.Edit Profile
