Motorsport: South Tyroleans delight at Bondone

At the 73rd edition of the Trient-Bondone mountain classic, several South Tyrolean racers were able to impress. There were class victories and top placings en masse.

A total of 23 pilots from South Tyrolean clubs took part in the Bondone. In this third round of the Italian Hill Climb Championship, Roman Gurschler was the fastest South Tyrolean after Nicola Grazioli (Mendel Racing Team).


Lukas and Rudi Bicciato from Eppan, on the other hand, took part in a race in Glasbach (Germany) that counted towards the European Hill Climb Championship. Both took second place in their respective groups.

The podium finishes of the South Tyroleans at the 73rd edition of Trento Bondone, 1st place:
Armin Hafner Porsche 992/category over 3500 cc, Selina Prantl (RT Meran) Mini/2000 cc, Roman Gurschler (RT Meran) Fiat 500 Suzuki/1600 cc.

2st place: Elmar Gschnell Renault Clio/2000 cc, Dietmar Gschnell Peugeot 106/1400 cc, Anton Geier (all RS Mendel) Opel Kadett/GT 2000 cc, Stefan Kraner (RC Kaltern) Renault Clio/2000 cc.

3st place: Harald Freitag Opel Kadett/3000 cc, Robert Ratschiller (both RT Meran) Peugeot 205/N 1300 cc, Martin Sieberlechner Renault Clio/1600 cc, Michael Sieberlechner (both RC Kaltern) VW Golf GTI/TC 1600 cc.

Furthermore, 4th place: Roland Gruber Renault Clio/2000 cc, Davide Segna (both RS Mendel) Seat Ibiza Cup. 5st place: Nicola Grazioli Formula Gloria, Paul Niederstätter (both RS Mendel) Renault 5 GT/1400 cc. 6st place: Andreas Delueg Renault Clio/2000 cc, Maurizio Rampanelli (both RS Mendel) Citroen Saxo/1600 cc.
