Four South Tyroleans took part in the first run of the “Super Salita” and the second competition of the Italian mountain championship for historic cars in Trapani on Sicily.

The fastest of the South Tyrolean participants in the 66th “Salita Monterice” was Markus Schuster, a dedicated mechanic from Silandro.
In the RS Plus group (2000 cc class), Selina Prantl (Racing Team Meran) celebrated a class victory in her Mini Jcw Challenge.
Harald Freitag (Racing Team Meran/Opel Kadett) and Dietmar Gschnell (Racing Team Mendel/Peugeot 106) took second places in their respective classes.
Erwin Morandell (Mendel racing team/Fiat X1/9) was able to secure third place in the historical class up to 1600 cc.
