EM: Nothing to gain for South Tyrol's sport shooters

The European Small Caliber Shooting Championships are taking place these days in Osijek (Croatia). The South Tyrolean duo came away empty-handed.

Simon Weithaler and Barbara Gambaro are South Tyrol's sports shooting hopes. On Tuesday there was nothing for them to gain from the KK three-position fight. Gambaro finished 586th in qualifying with 27 rings and missed the final. The same applies to Weithaler, who came 584th with 36 rings and therefore did not make it through the qualification.

At the same time, this means that Gambaro and Weithaler have to bury their Olympic dream, because the last Olympic quota places will be awarded at the European Championships.
