A highlight for paragliders in Dorf Tirol

The third edition of the “Wanderbird Trophy Dorf Tirol” took place in bright sunshine and safe flying conditions. The “Hike & Fly” event, popular with paragliders, was a complete success.

Due to optimal weather conditions, the competition day was moved from Saturday to Sunday. Despite this short-term change, 81 athletes took part and ensured an exciting and successful event.

"We are happy every year when we can come to Dorf Tirol," says organizer Paul Guschlbauer enthusiastically. "The flying area is a dream and the athletes always enjoy coming here to learn from each other and with each other about the Hike & Fly Game."

The race was held in three different categories for men and women. In the Fun category, it was allowed to use cable cars, while this was prohibited in the Tour category. Hero athletes had to complete the laps twice.

The route led from Dorf Tirol to the Muthhöfen, then on to the Assen Hut and the third turn point could be completed by flying from the air over Sankt Leonhard.
