Silver for Germany and Italy

It remains the same: Italy won a medal on the seventh day of the Olympic Games in Paris.

As of now (17.30 p.m.), Italy has its silver medal this Friday. This was thanks to the rowing duo Stefano Oppo and Gabriel Soares in the pairs. Gold went to top favorite Ireland. Bronze went to Greece. Italy has collected 17 medals in Paris to date, most of them (8) silver.

The German mixed team of Michelle Kroppen and Florian Unruh also won the silver medal in archery. The World Championship runners-up lost the final at the Invalides against the clear favorites Lim Sihyeon and Kim Woojin from South Korea by 0:6, but still won the first ever Olympic medal in this discipline for Germany.

At the same time, it is the first medal for the German Shooting Association at the Games in Paris. However, Germany's archers will have to wait a little longer for their first ever Olympic gold. Germany now has a total of seven medals in Paris, two of which are gold.
