From Sweden to Oman – with success

South Tyrol's world-class table tennis players Debora Vivarelli and Giorgia Piccolin traveled from Stockholm to the WTT Contender tournament in Muscat over the past few days. Piccolin in particular was able to demonstrate there.

Debora Vivarelli left, just a few days after the excellent bronze medal in Sweden, in the first qualifying round against Slovakian Barbora Balazova.

Giorgia Piccolin was able to put in a good performance and won the first game in the qualifying round against the Czech Tomanovska 3-1 and the decisive duel for a place in the main draw against Vivarelli's conqueror Balazova also 3-1.

Among the 32, the Bolzano woman was able to take advantage of the good draw and defeated the qualifier Rachel Moret (Switzerland) relatively confidently 3-1. In the round of XNUMX it was the final stop against the Korean Jeon Jihee, it was the end of the successful run.
