Italy's Davis Cup team is considered a tight-knit unit. The team will soon have another small member. Lorenzo Musetti will be a dad for the first time in 2024. The 21-year-old revealed this in the run-up to the Davis Cup finals in Malaga. “It’s going to be a boy and I’m over the moon,” the world number 27 told the Sports Gazette.

At the end of March, Musetti's girlfriend Veronica (she works at Sky Sports) give birth to the baby. “Of course, at first it was a bit worrying news, but not because I'm not happy, on the contrary. But there are many things we have to think about now. “We have to create a family basis and a new couple dynamic,” says Musetti.

When asked about his young age, Musetti said: “It will be nice to be able to grow together with my son. I hope I have a long career and he can accompany me there. Most of all, I want him to be happy.”
